We will briefly discuss the basics of the Alzheimer's disease and its effects on the brain, but will also happily explore the topics related to dementia caregiving that you want to hear more about.
Juliet Holt Klinger heads up Brookdale's dementia care solutions. She is a gerontologist specializing in person-centered programs for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. As a trainer and program designer for more than 25 years, she has developed and operated programs for national companies representing both skilled nursing and assisted living levels of dementia care. Before joining the company in 2004 as a Divisional Memory Care Specialist, Juliet held corporate level Alzheimer's program consulting positions with Marriott Senior Living Services and Sunrise Senior Living. She became the National Director of Dementia Care for Brookdale in 2008 and is currently Vice President of Dementia Care.
Juliet holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and an Aging Studies Certificate from the University of Iowa, and a Master's Degree in Gerontology from the University of Northern Colorado.
In her role at Brookdale, Juliet supervises the Divisional Memory Care Specialist team and oversees the programming and quality assurance in Brookdale's 266 dementia care locations, and the provision of dementia care consultation in all 650 Brookdale communities. Brookdale's dementia care solutions address the spectrum of needs in its newest early-stage dementia care communities to assisted living and skilled nursing levels of care.

Carol Cummings is a passionate advocate for older adult wellness and healthy aging.
