Therapy & Rehabilitation
Brookdale's Therapy services are based upon our company's proprietary CARE 3 Program. CARE 3 offers different types of services depending upon the resident's needs: Rehabilitation Care, Fitness Care and Education Care.
Rehabilitation Care is the most clinical of these services and requires a physician's order. The goal is to restore or improve function with licensed Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy. Our therapists provide screenings for residents who wish to participate and are able to track progress or declines over time so that we can more readily identify their needs. CARE3 Rehabilitation Care services include...
- Physical Therapy
- Balance
- Walking Problems
- Transferring problems
- Safety issues
- Pain management
- Relearning physical activities
- Occupational Therapy
- Dressing/Bathing
- Household chores
- Low Vision
- Incontinence

Fitness care promotes continued exercise and well-being and assists our residents in maintaining their overall health and fitness levels. All Brookdale communities offer our Brookdale Fitness B-Fit class. However, programs specially designed by our therapists or group exercise settings can augment individual fitness at heightened levels. In addition, many locations offer specialty wellness services, such as Massage Therapy, Yoga classes, and personalized training programs.
Education Care services at Brookdale communities discuss the effects of aging and the healthy aging process. These services consist of weekly health talks, support groups, health fairs and the CARE 3 health screening program.
