The Summit at Westlake Hills is celebrating 20 years of service excellence by hosting a ribbon cutting and open house reception for the public. Brookdale Senior Living independent, assisted living, and skilled nursing care community, along with Members of Westlake Chamber of Commerce will perform the ribbon cutting as the community celebrates 20 years of service. Guest speaker for the event will be Senator Kirk Watson, former mayor of Austin and current Texas State Senator.
During the celebration, three original residents, Georgia Lou West, Claire Hammel, and Jennie Hughes-Fallon will be recognized. There will also be a champagne toast, reception and live music by Corkey Robinson and the Keynoters. The event is Thursday, Oct. 15 from 4:30-7:00 p.m.
The Summit at Westlake Hills is unique in the fact that is only one of two communities in Austin that offer independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing services under one roof. Throughout its 20 years, the Summit has served approximately 4,320 residents in the greater community.
The entire community is invited to come participate in this 20th anniversary celebration of one of Austin’s very first full service senior living community.
