Brookdale Senior Living is proud to offer its residents, associates and families Connected Living at Brookdale, a new component of the company’s Optimum Life® concept, a lifestyle in which whole-person wellness is achieved through fulfillment in six key dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, purposeful, spiritual, social and intellectual.
Connected Living at Brookdale provides residents with a simple online program and weekly group activities where they can connect with family, friends, and neighbors in the community to share messages, calendars, photos, memories and much more.
"This new offering gives residents an even greater opportunity to remain connected to loved ones, and offers socialization, learning and entertainment," said Sara Terry, vice president of Optimum Life® for Brookdale Senior Living. "Stories are what make us special and unique. Connections with others allow people to thrive. With Connected Living at Brookdale, residents can use this outlet to capture and, most importantly, share the stories of their life."
Connected Living at Brookdale encourages residents to use a computer in a fun and easy manner; exercise the social dimension of Optimum Life® in a new, unique way; and gain the ability to stay connected with family and friends online.
Participation in this program is currently limited to select Brookdale communities, and is free to all residents. Other benefits include:
- Providing a simple way to view community calendars, events and photos online.
- Enhancing communication with family and friends.
- Expanding educational opportunities.
- Reducing technology hesitance.
