Brookdale Senior Living, owner and operator of several local senior living communities, and The Institute for Optimal Aging, an organization that develops evidence-based programs and assesses their impact on quality of life for older adults, is hosting a brain fitness symposium. Attendees will learn the benefits of brain fitness, and the many ways to accomplish improved cognitive ability, including physical activity.
Dynamic breakout sessions will include:
- A talk about the challenges of caregivers by Dr. James Huysman of The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation.
- Computerized Brain Fitness by Dr. TJ McCallum of Case Western Reserve University
- Program by the Alzheimer’s Association
- Drive Sharp by Lori Cook of AAA
- Dance lessons by Fred Astaire Dance Studios
In addition, a resource fair and lunch will be available for registered attendees.
