Brookdale Senior Living, the largest owner and operator of senior living communities, invites the public on a unique opportunity of a brain symposium during a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Feb. 27-March 6, 2010.
Attendees will be able to join Kevin W. O’Neil, MD, FACP, CMD, a specialist in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and Medical Director of Optimum Life® for Brookdale Senior Living for this Cross Train Your Brain symposium. Attendees will learn the benefits of brain fitness, and the many ways to accomplish improved cognitive ability, including physical activity.
Dr. Kevin O’Neil will be a featured speaker with a presentation, "Cross Train Your Brain," a discussion tailored to older adults with the goal of improving cognitive health and reducing the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias through practicing several lifestyle factors.
The symposium will be held aboard Holland America’s newest 5-star ship, ms Eurodam. The ship features 11 passenger decks, a Pan-Asian restaurant topside and a lounge surrounded by panoramic views overlooking the ocean. Attendees will also enjoy an Explorer’s Lounge Bar, a specialty restaurant featuring the finest in Italian cuisine, an atrium bar area, and a show lounge with theater-style seating.

The cruise itinerary includes departure from Fort Lauderdale with stops at Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Thomas, and Half Moon Cay.
