Larry Beebe, resident of Homewood Residence Naples, a Brookdale Senior Living assisted living and Alzheimer’s/dementia community, was recently treated to a ride of a lifetime on a Harley motorcycle.
Afflicted with Parkinson’s Disease, Homewood Residence Naples has been Beebe’s home for the past couple of years. He has always been an avid Harley fan and rider and has "been into everything Harley."
Beebe was unable to drive the cycle, but joined along by riding in the sidecar.
"We encourage Larry, and all our residents, to live an Optimum Life," said Maria Hoza, Executive Director of Homewood Residence at Naples. "Larry was truly living life to the fullest, which gave us all great pride and joy."

Scott Pignatiello of Naples Riding School picked Beebe up on his cycle, with the sidecar ready. He was taken to the Everglades Motorcycle Service Annual Open House to join fellow bikers in an afternoon of festivities. Lynn Wannamacher and Michelle Huscher of Everglades Motorcycle Service remarked "It was very gratifying to be able to do something nice for a fellow Harley rider. We all enjoyed Larry’s company, I think, as much as he had a good time. We look forward to doing it again soon." Several bikes with staff of Homewood Residence Naples and friends riding joined Beebe and Pignatiello to take him to the Open House for a grand entrance.
The riders enjoyed having Beebe come out so much, that they made him an honorary member of their group. Beebe was presented with their club T-shirt, and told that he has to "represent" now.
"This event was the most fun I have had in years!" Mr. Beebe commented.
